Gabriel Mark Hasselbach gives the vintage Jazz art form its just due, without traversing into corny stereotypes.
Paying tribute to the great performers of the past 100 years comes easily to Gabriel, and he has a special homage to Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong that always grabs an audience by the ears!
From New Orleans to Chicago, Kansas City to New York, Gabriel has it covered.

Jazz Vespers May 27, 2018
St Andrews-Wesley, Vancouver, BC
Nancy Newman performing at Jazz Vespers with Dan Reynolds on piano and Conrad Good on bass in the iconic St Andrew's Wesley United Church. Jazz Vespers features Vancouver's top jazz performers combined with reflections on life, faith and hope.
Nancy Newman’s lush and evocative voice, deep interpretive skills, and passion for improvisation shine as she sings across the borders of jazz, popular and original music. Nuanced vocals, flowing melodies, and soulful honesty punctuate Nancy’s performances. Music from her two albums ‘Palace of the Moon’ and ‘You Never Know’ were met with a standing ovation at her Cultch Historic Theatre release in 2012. In addition to performing at music festivals, jazz venues, and special events, Nancy's music has been broadcast on radio and TV. Nancy has created and hosts ‘Third Thursday’, a popular Vancouver monthly vocal jazz jam.
